Since I haven't got anything wonderful to update in a while, I'll advertise my Anthropology project, the Creation Story of the Haudenosaunee (or Iroquois if you don't recognize the other name).
It's really sketchy/lined-paper crappiness, but feel free to look nonetheless to educate yourself on this version on the origin of Turtle Island, aka North America (where a good lot of you Internet goers are from). The direct link is here. Or look through the old layout for Fairietails Studio which I haven't gotten around to fixing the new layout. The only warning I have is that Creation is nude because I was lazy to design an outfit for her. Sorry. And if you're scarred for life, it ain't my fault really. You suck at reading. As for THIS picture, this is Sapling/Xie II in the recarnation version of the Second Epoch (that I haven't gotten around to illustrating) named Dekanawidah, or more commonly referred to as The Peacemaker. He's a freakin' genius. Although, I couldn't find ANY reference for Huron clothing, as it was speculated he was from, so I just made something up from Mohawk. Sorry if this offends anyone (let me know what's correct, please!). Anyway, Sapling/Xie II/Dekanawidah here is holding the Tree of Peace.  Xie II belongs to me. I know he's not human in this picture. I didn't bother to do any race-shifting to him or to any others in casting this story. I am THAT lazy. But I like pointed ears. Okay I've ranted enough now. Pencil and openCanvas. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. I don't have a problem with canon, non-canon, straight, gay or any other of that nonsense. I have a problem with incest but as long as it isn't real life & it is drawn well I will pretend that they're not related for the sake of a job well done. Love wins
